God is real and He's always listening. It'll be incredible when we get to heaven and will understand how God is able to be attentive to everyone's cry at the same time. It baffles me, but I know He's dialed in to my prayers because He's answered time and time again.
Prayer isn’t just kneeling at your bedside with your hands clasped but it's talking to God throughout the day... telling Him how you feel – when you're sad when you're happy and more than anything, calling out to Him when you're feeling tempted or afraid.
It may feel awkward at first, but I encourage you to start a dialogue with God. Before you know it, it will become natural, and you’ll find that he will give you the peace and assurance that lets you know that he’s got everything under control.
Here's what the Bible says about talking to God:
Psalms 50:15 NLT
“Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”
Psalms 145:18-19 NLT
“The LORD is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17
"Never stop praying."
